Studies carried out over the past 24 hours in the laboratory of the Committee for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in South Ossetia showed a negative result, the Deputy head of the Committee Anna Gagloeva told IA “Res” on Wednesday.

The first three cases of COVID-19 infection in the Republic were recorded on May 5. In total, there are 66 coronavirus patients during this period, of whom 34 have recovered and are discharged to date.

According to the data of June 10, there are 32 previously coronavirus infected in the Tskhinval Infectious Diseases Hospital, all of them are under the supervision of doctors, among them 27 cadets, 2 citizens who arrived from Vladikavkaz, one serviceman and two people from the medical staff.

“In total, 261 people are being monitored, including 180 in medical institutions: in the Republican Medical Center - 39, in the infectious ward - 52, in the old building of the maternity hospital - 33, in the village of Dzau - 21, in Znaur - 14, in Leningor - 21. Also 5 people on self-isolation and 76 at the Alan Hotel,” she said.

There are restrictions on the border between South Ossetia and Russia until June 30. The measures taken do not apply to Russian military personnel, citizens of South Ossetia, returning to the Republic according to a specially developed schedule through the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
