In South Ossetia, for the day, two more new cases of coronavirus were laboratory-confirmed among the quarantined cadets who arrived from Russia, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy Head of the Committee for the Protection of Consumer Rights and Welfare of the population, told IA “Res” on Monday.

“The day before, 49 tests were conducted, two of them were positive, in total, about 2 thousand tests were conducted over the entire period,” Gagloeva clarified.

The first three cases of COVID-19 infection in the Republic were recorded on May 5. In total, there were confirmed 78 cases of coronavirus during this period, of which more than 40 people have recovered and been discharged to date.

According to the data of June 15, 38 coronavirus patients are in the Tskhinval infectious diseases hospital.

In total, more than 245 people are under observation, 136 in medical institutions of the Republic, and another 26 on home self-isolation.

Until June 30, restrictions on the border of South Ossetia with Russia are in force due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus.
