37 patients continue to be treated at the Tskhinval Infectious Diseases Hospital: no new cases of COVID-19

In South Ossetia, 20 tests for coronavirus were conducted per day, all tests showed a negative result, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy Head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Rights Protection Committee, told IA "Res» on Friday.

"According to the data on the morning of June 19, 37 people with laboratory-confirmed coronavirus are being treated at the Tskhinval infectious diseases hospital, one person has been deregistered, 80 people have been ill for the entire period, 43 of them have recovered and were discharged from the medical institution," Gagloeva clarified.

The first three cases of infection in the Republic were recorded on May 5.

According to data as of June 19, there are 54 patients in the Tskhinval infectious diseases hospital, of which 35 are cadets. In total, more than 164 people are monitored, including 108 in medical institutions of the Republic, 26 on self-isolation. In addition, there are quarantined specialists from the Russian Federation, 21 people who arrived in the Republic as part of the Investment Program.

In total, over 2 thousand tests were conducted in the. laboratory of the South-Ossetian Consumer Rights Protection Committee for the entire period.

Until June 30, restrictions on the border of South Ossetia with Russia are in force due to the threat of the spread of the coronavirus; since February, the border with Georgia is completely closed.
