President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov took part in the vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The head of state voted at his residence in Dzau, where a visiting precinct election commission arrived, the press service of the head of state reports.

Having lowered the ballot in the ballot box, Anatoly Bibilov has said that it is the duty of every citizen of the Russian Federation to express his opinion, since amendments to the Basic Law of the Russian Federation will help in the future to solve many problems.

“As a citizen of Russia, I had to vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. I want to emphasize that the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation are necessary not only for Russia itself, but also for South Ossetia,” the President said.

He has also noted that the changes will affect the attitude towards Russia as of citizens of the Russian Federation themselves, and the whole world.

“These changes are aimed at protecting the interests of Russian citizens, and are also associated with social protection of the population and ensuring security. Moreover, they will ensure that domestic laws prevail over international ones, which will help in resolving issues that arise between South Ossetia and Russia,” the head of state said.

In addition, Anatoly Bibilov expressed firm confidence in the need for these amendments.

“Without a doubt, the amendments make the Russian Federation more responsible in the field of social protection, ensuring the safety of its population and many other vital areas. Therefore, every citizen of Russia who wants a bright future for his country should come and vote,” he said.

It should be noted that after a visit to Moscow, where the head of state took part in the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Anatoly Bibilov is currently at a two-week self-isolation in his residence in Dzau.
