According to her, 25 people are in the isolation ward of the Republican Multidisciplinary Center in Tskhinval on the morning of July 3, including three cadets with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19.

"Today, there are 284 people under surveillance in South Ossetia, of which 215 are in the Republic’s medical facilities," she said.

In total, there were 85 cases for the entire period, of which 68 people were discharged from the medical facility.

The first three cases of infection in the Republic were recorded on May 5. Over the entire period, about 2.5 thousand tests were conducted in the laboratory of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, At the meeting of the operational headquarters, the authorities of South Ossetia worked out a mechanism for the return of citizens to their homeland in several stages. For the entire time of quarantine measures, about 1,700 citizens returned to the Republic. There are more than 500 people who want to return to their Homeland, who applied to the South Ossetian Consulate in Vladikavkaz.

Almost all restrictions imposed due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus were lifted in the Republic, while restrictions on the border between South Ossetia and Russia were extended until July 31 due to the situation in neighboring regions.
