Eight COVID patients were admitted to hospitals in South Ossetia in a day, two were discharged

As of the morning of December 19, 69 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in the "red zones" of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center (RMMC) of South Ossetia. This was reported on Saturday to IA "Res" by the chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic, Eleonora Dzhioeva.

“Currently, there are 39 patients in the infectious diseases building of the RMMC, and 30 in the building of the children's hospital,” the doctor said. No fatal cases were recorded in a day.

Over the past day, eight patients were admitted to the "red zone" of the hospital, two people were discharged for follow-up treatment on an outpatient basis.

It should be noted that over the past three weeks, an improvement in the epidemiological situation has been observed in the Republic, educational institutions are closed until January 15, and a mask regime is in effect.
