President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov took part in the meeting of the O.E. Kutafin Academic Council of the Moscow State Law University (MSLA), the presidential press service reports.
The head of the South Ossetian state is in Moscow on a working visit.
Addressing the members of the council, Anatoly Bibilov congratulated them on the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Moscow State Law Academy and wished them further success in learning science. Noting the serious educational training of students, the President expressed confidence that "the theoretical basis obtained at the university will play a serious role in their life and professional advancement in the future."
“I am sure that in the future we will be also closely cooperating and interacting. This will undoubtedly benefit the specialists of South Ossetia and our Great Motherland - the Russian Federation,”, Anatoly Bibilov said.
President of the Moscow State Law Academy Viktor Blazheev was presented the South Ossetian state award - the Order of Honor - "for his great personal contribution to the development of friendship and cooperation between peoples, active assistance in the training of highly qualified personnel for the Republic of South Ossetia and in connection with the 60th anniversary of his birth."
“All awards presented by the president of any republic are presented on behalf of the people. Naturally, this award is a gratitude from the people of the Republic of South Ossetia,” he stressed.
With the rector of the university Anatoly Bibilov also discussed further ways of cooperation and education at the university for South Ossetian students.
“Anatoly Ilyich, thank you for such a high assessment of my work. I am grateful that you personally presented me with the award on behalf of the people of South Ossetia,” said Viktor Blazheev, expressing hope for further cooperation for the benefit of the citizens of South Ossetia and Russia.
The event was also attended by Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev.
