On the outskirts of Tskhinval, in the area of the "Shanghai" micro district, local residents found a Ukrainian-made RPG-18 " Mukha " anti-tank grenade, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia told IA " Res " on Friday.
According to the department, the anti-tank grenade was discovered on April 8. “The ammunition was in the water and was in a combat position. Fortunately, no one touched the ammunition, otherwise the projectile would have exploded, and then there would have been casualties,”.
Sappers from Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Internal Affairs and the KGB promptly drove to the place where the anti-tank grenade was found, inspected the adjacent territory of the find, and removed the ammunition for further destruction.
At the end of March, in one of the villages of the Tskhinvali district of South Ossetia, a local resident also found explosive objects that were taken out by sappers.
