South Ossetian Defense Minister Ibrahim Gasseev will take part in the IX Moscow Conference on International Security MCIS-2021. According to the press service of the defense department, the invitation was received from Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

The International Forum is held by Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation on June 22-24. In his address to the conference participants, Sergei Shoigu has noted that the most pressing problems and trends in the field of international military policy will traditionally be discussed.

It was also noted that the COVID-19 pandemic had made significant changes in the system of international contacts, exacerbated a number of previous contradictions.

“We are witnessing the formation of a new world order and forms of interaction in the security sphere,” added Shoigu.

It should be noted that within the framework of the Forum program, the most pressing issues of the modern agenda of global and regional security will be considered, in the solution of which the defense departments play a key role.

The Moscow Conference on International Security is an annual forum that brings together representatives of defense departments, international organizations and non-governmental experts in search of answers to key questions of international security.
