South Ossetia will discuss security issues at the state border with Georgia

On Tuesday, a regular meeting in the format of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM) will be held in the village of Ergnet, bordering South Ossetia, the press service of the office of South Ossetia's Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy for post-conflict settlement told IA "Res".

"The meeting will discuss security issues at the state border, incidents that have taken place in the border areas since the previous meeting in the IPRM format," the press service said.

The meetings in the IPRM format are held within the framework of the Geneva Discussions on Security in the Caucasus. Representatives of South Ossetia, Russia, Georgia, the European Union and the OSCE are taking part in the dialogue.

The South Ossetian delegation in the IPRM format is headed by Yegor Kochiev, Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Republic for Post-Conflict Settlement.

Earlier, on July 8, a technical meeting was held in the village of Ergnet in the format of Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms (MPRI). The issue of water supply to the village of Tsinagar in Leningor district was discussed at the meeting.
