The prospects for cooperation between South Ossetia and the Voronezh Region were discussed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev and Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev.
“The parties discussed the exchange of experience and the implementation of joint projects in the development of the agro-industrial complex and other sectors of the economy,” the official portal of the authorities of the Voronezh region informs.
Alexander Gusev has noted that today Voronezh and South Ossetia have all the opportunities and resources for the development of cooperation and wished the inhabitants of the Republic prosperity.
Znaur Gassiev has stated that President of the Republic is waiting for the Governor and the delegation of the Voronezh region to South Ossetia.
"I am glad to be on the Voronezh land; this is my fifth visit. This time I was able to see the city and walk along it. There are many young people and children, it was very nice. We remember that in 2008 a commission was set up to raise funds for restoration of South Ossetia -it is worth a lot. We consider it necessary to keep in touch. We have something to talk about, there is something to offer in the Voronezh region, "said Znaur Gassiev.
The Governor and the Ambassador discussed in detail the draft agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the government of the Voronezh region and the government of the Republic of South Ossetia. It has been noted that the document will be signed soon.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Governor - First Deputy Prime Minister of the Voronezh Region Vitaly Shabalatov, Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Logvinov, First Deputy Head of the Economic Development Department of the Region Igor Kumitsky, First Secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Voronezh Alexei Nekrasov and Deputy Head of Administration - Plenipotentiary representative of the head of the city district in the city Duma Marina Plieva.
