Representatives of South Ossetian youth took part in the Eurasia Global forum

Last weekend, the international youth forum Eurasia Global completed its work. The Forum was held in Orenburg for the fourth time, and representatives of South Ossetian youth also took part in it.

Dozens of meetings and discussions on a variety of topics, lectures, master classes and the defense of their own projects - during the week, participants in the Eurasia Global international youth forum did a lot, the Russian media report.

The Forum brought together 800 participants from Russia and abroad, young and active leaders from 6 continents exchanged experiences and learned new things. The business program of the Forum was working in four main areas: "Social Design", "Culture and Art", "New Media" and a practical orientation block for participants from the CIS countries.

Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova became one of the most anticipated speakers. The meeting was interactive - touched on issues of Russian-Chinese cooperation, relations between Russia and Ukraine, information security and others. A distinctive feature of the Forum in 2019 was that the speakers were not only invited experts, but also the forum participants themselves. It was introduced a special format - “Program 2.0”. Within its framework, each participant could fill out an application and present his project, program or idea.

In total, 120 proposals for Program 2.0 were submitted during the forum. At the closing, the results of grant competitions were summed up. At the All-Russian contest of youth projects of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the participants presented 66 socially-oriented projects. As a result, 12 projects were recommended for grant support in the amount of more than 4.5 million rubles.

Foreign participants also had the opportunity to receive support for the implementation of their projects - with the assistance of the Gorchakov Fund. More than 100 applications were submitted for the competition, 33 projects were allowed to defend, 9 of them, by the decision of the expert commission, will receive funding for a total amount of 2.4 million rubles.
