Participants of the Coordination Mechanism discussed the search for the missing persons

A meeting of the Coordinating Mechanism to Clarify the Fate and Whereabouts of Persons Missing in Connection with the Armed Conflicts of the 1990s and August 2008 took place on Friday in the village of Ergneti.

The Coordination Mechanism was established in 2010 under the auspices and technical and expert support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), acting as a neutral intermediary. This exclusively humanitarian exchange platform brings together South Ossetian, Georgian and Russian participants.
