In South Ossetia, the decision of the operational meeting of the Security Council introduces a ban on the use of drones during events dedicated to Victory Day - May 9, the press secretary of the President of the Republic Natalia Bosikova said.

"In order to implement additional measures to ensure security in the Republic during the celebration of Victory Day: in the period from 09.00 May 7 to 09.00 May 10, is introduced a ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles of any type in the airspace of the Republic," Bosikova said.

The State Security Committee of South Ossetia is implementing a set of measures to ensure control of the airspace of the Republic and suppress possible flights of unmanned aerial vehicles, the press service of the department reports.

"In order to further ensure security in the Republic during the celebration of Victory Day, from 09.00 on May 7 to 09.00 on May 10, the operational meeting of the Security Council introduced a ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles of any type in the South Ossetian airspace," the press service said.
