President Anatoly Bibilov congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov on the Day of the Diplomatic Worker of Russia, the press service of the head of state reported.
The President assessed the role of Russian diplomacy as "a key one in the implementation of the country's foreign policy, which makes a significant contribution to ensuring stability and security in the world."
"For South Ossetia, as for many other countries, the activities of Russian diplomacy are associated with ensuring reliable international security, with a firm commitment to the principles of international law, with selfless and consistent protection of the interests of Russia and allied states by diplomatic means," the text of the congratulation reads.
The head of state wished Lavrov and all the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation "good health, well-being and further success in diplomatic activities for the benefit of Russia."
The head of the South Ossetian state also sent congratulatory messages on the Day of the Diplomatic Worker of the Russian Federation to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov and the rector of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Russian Foreign Ministry Anatoly Torkunov.
