The XXII Moscow Easter Festival under the artistic direction of the famous Ossetian composer Valery Gergiev will be held from April 16 to May 9.

According to the press service of the festival, the event will be held with the support of the Moscow government, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and with the blessing of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill.

In the new season, the Easter Festival will again delight the audience with its vast geography and rich programs - Symphonic, Choral and Zvonilnaya. Its main principles remain unchanged: charitable, educational activities and patriotism.

In 2023, concerts by the world-famous soloists and outstanding musical groups will be held at the central concert venues in Moscow and the regions of Russia. Performances will be timed to the memorable dates of the country, as well as the anniversaries of Russian artists, including Sergei Rachmaninov. 2023 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great composer, conductor and pianist.

“The Mariinsky Theater is widely celebrating the anniversary of Sergei Rachmaninov. The composer's mighty talent belongs to the whole world, but glorifies, first of all, Russia. I think that many musicians all over the world are doing their best not to pass by such a glorious great date...

The music composed by Sergei Vasilievich will be performed both in the composer's homeland in Novgorod and in the Tambov region in Ivanovka, in the Rachmaninov estate,” Maestro Gergiev shared.
