South Ossetia sends humanitarian aid to homeless fire victims in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in the Russian Federation

Today, 26 August, humanitarian aid was sent from the Republic of South Ossetia to Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, RF. The humanitarian load was delivered to North Ossetia, and from there, to the final destination. “Today, we are sending humanitarian aid to Nizhny Novgorod Oblast to all those affected by forest fires”, reported Advisor to the President of South Ossetia on social policy Nigzar Gabaraev at the delivery point in North Ossetia-Alania.

South Ossetia is getting prepared for the celebration of recognition by Russia

South Ossetia is getting prepared for the celebrations of the Day of the Republic's Recognition by the Russian Federation. As South Ossetian President's Advisor for State and International Protocol Zhanna Zasseeva reported to IA RES, celebrations devoted to the Day of South Ossetia's Recognition would be held in Tskhinval. She noted that the events would start on 25 August. "This day, the International Association of Ossetian Communities "Vozrozhdenie" (revival) will hold a conference on "Recognition of the independence and new horizons in the development of South Ossetia".

Domenty Kulumbegov: The Inter-Agency Humanitarian Action to Help in Rehabilitation of South Ossetia

Over 15 Russian ministries and governmental agencies are participants to the Inter-Agency Humanitarian Action (IAHA). As Deputy Prime Minister Domenty Kulumbegov told IA RES, each of the agencies assess the situation to identify problems and make plans for the problem settlement. "Similar actions bring hope to hearts of the Republic's residents, they help in revival of the state and settlement of problems in the social, cultural and other spheres", underlined Kulumbegov.

Vadim Brovtsev Pays a Visit to Znaur District of South Ossetia

The Prime Minister of South Ossetia Vadim Brovtsev paid a visit to Znaur district of the Republic. He Deputy Prime Minister Domenty Kulumbegov, Head of Znaur District Administration Zaur Tskhovrebov and Diresctor of "Energoresurs" state energy and water company Alan Gabaraev accompanied the Prime Minister in his visit.
The Prime Minister saw the rehabilitation works at reconstruction sites, including the reconstruction at two schools, a kindergarten, district administrative building and Znaur library. Brovtsev has also visited the newly constructed building of Fire Station.

Elbrus Kargiev: From 2011, Russia to Focus on Revival of the Economy in South Ossetia

Russia together with the state authorities of South Ossetia actively participates in all economic and social processes taking place in the Republic, Ambassador of Russia in South Ossetia Elbrus Kargiev told IA RES. According to him, Russian annually allocates over 3 billion RUB for the budget of South Ossetia to support the state structures and cover the state budget expenses. “Along with this, right after the August aggression, 10 billion RUB were allocated for rehabilitation in social and communal sectors. Presidents of Nicaragua and Venezuela to visit South Ossetia

The president of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity informed at his press-conference that while visiting Venezuela and Nicragua in July he had invited the presidents of these Latina American states to visit South Ossetia during the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the Republic on 20 September 2010. “The president of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega and the president of Venezuela Hugo Chavez provised to visit our country. Rural areas of South Ossetia face problems with potable water supply
