Georgian authorities are illegally keeping in detention citizens of RSO Alan Khachirov, Alan Khugaev and Soltan Pliev abducted on 13 October 2008. The IA RES gained access to video footage of these hostages being beaten up and harassed in one of Georgian prisons.
The Georgian side stated at Geneva talks that the abducted persons were not located on the territory of Georgia. Representatives of Georgian Ombudsman’s office though found them in one of Georgian prisons and this fact is proved with the video material.
