The situation around South Ossetia is again tensed. This is coursed by the military exercises that are carried out in Georgia, by the new military supplies to Georgia as well as by the hard statements of the Minister of Interior of Georgia in respect of South Ossetia.
To comment the situation around the Republic of South Ossetia the correspondent of the “Res” agency approached Mr. Eduard Kokoity, President of South Ossetia.
According to the President, the situation remains tensed, the Georgian side tries to blow it up by the start of the Big Eight Summit but it is under control and everything will be done to avoid putting stability under threat. All the planned arrangements will be carried out, particularly for summer holidays and for sending off the school leavers to different educational organizations.
The President also called the residents to stop worrying, as according to him there are no reasons for being anxious, people had enough worries for the last 15 years. Commenting the announcements from Georgia and the military preparations, the President said that they are taking all that easy as are ready to any development of the situation. If the Georgian side wants to have war, that will be the last war in the history of Georgia. South Ossetia can not be intimidated and will not get out off it’s way to independence.
