2006 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH OSSETIA

Central election committee of the Republic of South Ossetia at the session on 14 November 2006 examined and summed up results of the Presidential elections on 12 November 2006.
Based on the protocols of the territorial electorals the Central Election Committee of the Republic of South Ossetia made a final protocol on the results of the Presidential Elections in the Republic of South Ossetia.
The total number of people put on the list for secret voting made about 55 163. Out of that amount in the elections participated 52 443 that is 95, 1%.
The Presidential candidates got the following number of votes:

1. Gabodze O.G. – 175 (0, 33%)
2. Kokoity E.D. – 51, 150 (98, 1%)
3. Pukhaev I.I. – 194 (0, 37%)
4. Tibilov L. Kh. – 476 (0, 9 %)
5. Against all – 168 (0, 32%)

The Central Election Committee ENACTED:
1. The Presidential Elections in South Ossetia to be considered completed.
2. President Eduard Kokoity to be considered an elected President of the Republic of South Ossetia.
