«The last Georgia’s proposals on reintegration of Abkhazia and South Ossetia into Georgia and offers of some high ranks in power structures are absolutely unfounded». This was stated to IA «Res» correspondent by the deputy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Pliev on commenting proposed by Georgia terms of RSO and RA entering Georgia. «First of all one should say that South Ossetia and Abkhazia are sovereign States nobody has a right to predetermine their destiny. During two referendums people made their choice and will never change it. The population of South Ossetia, including Georgians consider themselves as citizens of independent state»-underlined Alan Pliev.
«Proposing such relations with South Ossetia Georgia knows beforehand they are unacceptable for us. There are no any grounds for the RSO population to accept co-existence with Georgia within the framework of one and the same State and knowing our reaction Tbilisi tries to inflate hysteria accusing Ossetians of non participation in negotiation process»-said the deputy of the Minister. On his opinion the Georgian side making an illusion of peaceableness, but in practice tries to paralyze negotiation process. «After Saakashvili’s coming to power Georgian side is bending every efforts either to destroy an existing JCC format or change it considerably to make it serve to their interests. For this purpose a Ministry for reintegration has been created. We are supporting the existing negotiation process format to solve all the questions with Georgia by means of talks and we never accept any ultimatums»-said Alan Pliev.
