Russian JPKF battalion within the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone was found the best detachment amongst the Russian peacekeeping contingents. Today the deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian land forces lieutenant-general Valery Evnevich handed to JPKF Commander major-general Marat Kulakhmetov a pennant of «The best Russian armed contingent of peacekeeping forces». The ceremony eventuated at the solemn formation at the Russian battalion position.
Valery Evnevich emphasized that the Russian peacekeepers are suitably fulfilling their soldier’s duty.
«During the long period of service the Russian military contingent at the territory of South Ossetia displays high results in combat training, the military discipline strengthening and last, but not least is complete its tasks on maintenance of peace in the conflict zone. Every day you are ready to complete your duties, to risk your own lives, making feats in 21 century. Feat in the name of peace is your main task. People here are living in peace only thanks to you. The results of fulfilling of tasks by Russian military contingents of the land forces of Russian Armed Forces, JPKF in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone marked as the best»-said Evnevich.
At the ceremony was red out the decree of RF President Vladimir Putin of 26 February 2008 of rewarding by the «Honor order» of RF military servicemen including JPKF commander major-general Marat Kulakhmetov. The militaries were presented by the memorable gifts.
