The co-chairs of the Geneva talks will arrive in South Ossetia

On Friday and Saturday (May 17-18) the Co-Chairs of the Geneva international discussions on security in Transcaucasia will arrive in the Republic of South Ossetia.

As the news agency "Res" was informed at the office of the South Ossetia Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement, the co-chairs would meet with the Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia Murat Dzhioev.
It is also planned to visit the Zonkar reservoir.
On Saturday the delegation will leave for Leningor, where will be held the meeting with the administration staff and the local population of Leningor district of South Ossetia.
The Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia are conducted since October 2008 on the basis of the agreements reached after the armed aggression of Georgia against South Ossetia in August 2008.
The Geneva meetings on an equal basis are attended by delegations from South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Georgia, Russia, the United States, as well as the EU, the UN and the OSCE representatives.
The key issue of the Geneva discussions remains the signing of non-aggression against South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
The 24th round of Geneva talks is scheduled for June 25-26, 2013.
