President of the Republic of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov has received the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Hero of Russia Andrei Krasov.
At the beginning of the meeting the President expressed gratitude to the Russian colleagues for their attention to socio-economic and political processes in South Ossetia.
" Now the main attention of the leadership and the people of the Republic is focused on the upcoming elections to the Parliament of South Ossetia,"- said the president.
Leonid Tibilov has stressed that the new parliament of the Republic should be more functional.
In turn, Andrei Krasov said he was glad to be once again on South Ossetian land; in difficult times for the Republic - in August 2008 - he lost a lot of comrades –in-arms here.
"Then I lost my comrades, but found new friends on the land of South Ossetia," – said Krasov.
He has stressed that since his last visit to South Ossetia in 2012 a lot of things have changed in the Republic.
"I have seen today many positive changes. Knowing you, I'm sure it's all thanks to your wise leadership, "- said the Russian parliamentarian.
The State Duma deputy has arrived in South Ossetia at the invitation of the party "United Ossetia", the congress of which has been held today in Tskhinval.
