President Leonid Tibilov has received today the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Krasnodar Territory, the former head of Krasnodar University of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia Yuri Agafonov and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic Igor Matvienko. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Lavoev.
The Head of State welcomed the guests, noting that in South Ossetia Yuri Agafonov is known not only by name. .
"We are grateful to you for training the skilled personnel. Representatives of our youth were trained under your leadership, getting the proper knowledge, and today, they apply this knowledge in practice here, "- said the president.
In turn, Yuri Agafonov noticed that he was in South Ossetia not for the first time.
"Even in 1991, during the difficult years of the formation of the Republic, I was here with my battalion as a commander, and that is why South Ossetia has become a home to me," - he said.
During the meeting the participants exchanged gifts; on behalf of the Chechen Interior Minister Ruslan Alkhanov the head of state was presented a rare tribal dagger of two hundred years.
