Despite the economic difficulties, Russia is not going to reduce the size of financial assistance to South Ossetia for implementation of the investment program to promote socio-economic development in 2015-2017 and support its public sector, said the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov at a meeting with reporters.
"Despite the fact that in the Russian Federation there is a reduction of budget expenditures by 10-15% in all spheres, it will not affect the investment program and the support of our public sector.
In 2014 we approved the investment program for three years and this is the evidence of the level of trust between our countries, "- said Tibilov.
The President also told about the meeting with the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held March 18 in Moscow and the discussed issues. According to him, the meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Leonid Tibilov has noted that Russian leadership is focused on security, stability and standard of living of the population of South Ossetia. The presidents also discussed issues of health, education, further gasification of the Republic, the capitalization of banks and agricultural development.
"We raised the issue of security of our people, our Republic. I expressed my gratitude to the leadership of Russia, that after the recognition of the independence of the Republic people of South Ossetia live in peace, and the 4th military base, as well as the FSB Border Control Agency of Russia, is a factor of peace and stability in South Ossetia ", - said Tibilov.
In addition, during the meeting the heads of state have noted with satisfaction that the Russian financial assistance to the Republic is used strictly for the intended purpose, which was confirmed by audit of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation and the Accounts Chamber of the RSO.
"During the meeting, I informed the President of the Russian Federation on the already constructed facilities and plans for this year. At the meeting, we have discussed a wide range of issues associated with the ongoing processes in South Ossetia. Vladimir Putin has stressed how important it is to maintain the current level of peace and stability in the Republic ", - said Leonid Tibilov.
According to him, Putin also called for the feasibility of the development of the agricultural sector in South Ossetia, noting that in the Republic is deployed Russian military base and the Border Guard Service of the Russian Federation and Russian market is open for South Ossetian farmers.
"With the development of agricultural sphere, the personnel of the 4th base and Border Control Agency could purchase products, grown on the territory of South Ossetia", - said Leonid Tibilov, adding that there are all conditions for the development of agricultural sector in the Republic.
The head of state has also noted that in the near future for the people of South Ossetia will be available high-tech treatment in Russian medical institutions - during the meeting Vladimir Putin said that he intended to give appropriate instructions to the Ministry of Health.
It should be reminded that March 18 in Moscow the presidents of South Ossetia and Russia Leonid Tibilov and Vladimir Putin signed the Treaty of alliance and integration. In addition, the heads of state held talks, discussing a wide range of issues of bilateral relations and coordination in the field of security and stability in Transcaucasia.
