The final match will take place on June 9, at 17.00, at the central stadium named after Stepan Shaumyan in Stepanakert.

Our team will be confronted by the Western Armenia team, the press service of the Committee on Youth Policy, Sport and Tourism reports.

In the semifinal match, the footballers of Western Armenia beat the team of Abkhazia on penalties.

For the finals, the team of South Ossetia played on Thursday with the team Chameria. Full time ended in a draw. In a penalty shootout, our team was twice rescued by goalkeeper Muharbeg Burayev. And the players have implemented six hits out of seven.

The team of South Ossetia has already met with the team of Western Armenia in the group stage. Then our team won with a score of 2: 1. It is considered the favorite. But this should not be misleading the players, the Committee’s press service summarizes. The coach of the team Soslan Kochiev, who will try to set up the team for the final game, understands this.

The European Football Championship under the auspices of ConIFA is taking place in the Republic of Artsakh from 1 to 9. June

ConIFA (Eng. Confederation of Independent Football Associations; Confederation of Independent Football Associations) is a football organization formed on June 7, 2013. It unites football associations and national teams of countries (unrecognized and partially recognized countries, autonomies within recognized countries, ethnic teams) that were not officially included in the FIFA and continental confederations. The headquarters of the organization is located in the city of Luleå (Norrbotten province, Sweden).

ConIFA holds the World and European Championships. The first World Cup was held from 1 to 8 June 2014 in the Swedish city of Ostersund.

In January 2014, South Ossetia was accepted into ConIFA, having received the right to play in tournaments of this organization. The national team debuted at the 2014 World Championships in ConIFA, where it took the 4th place, and took the 8th place at the European Championship.
