In South Ossetia over the past day, one more serviceman was diagnosed with coronavirus, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy head of the Deputy head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, told IA "Res» on Saturday.
"All patients are quarantined in a medical facility, doctors are monitoring their health," said Gagloeva. On the morning of May 30, in the isolation ward department of the Republican Medical Center there are 8 people with a laboratory-confirmed positive test for coronavirus.
According to Gagloeva, 138 people are in quarantine, 116 of them in medical institutions of the Republic.
The first three cases of coronavirus infection in the Republic were recorded on May 6, since then 39 cases of COVID-19 have been laboratory-confirmed.
Last week, the government of the Republic decision to extend the closure of the border between South Ossetia and Russia until June 30. The measures taken do not apply to citizens of South Ossetia returning to the Republic according to a specially developed schedule through the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the same time, on May 25, public transport began to function, cafes, restaurants, children's entertainment centers, sports facilities, libraries, hotels and motels opened.
