70 tests for coronavirus per day showed negative results, there have been no new cases of coronavirus infection in South Ossetia for the second week, Deputy Head of the South Ossetian Supervision Committee Anna Gagloeva told IA “Res " on Wednesday.

Since May of this year, 3545 people have been tested for coronavirus in the Republic.

"In the isolation ward there is one patient with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 - a nurse from the" red zone ", all the rest have been discharged," Gagloeva said.

There are 150 people under medical supervision, 85 people are in medical institutions of the republic, 9 of them are in the isolation ward.

In total, 89 people infected with coronavirus have been detected since May, all of them were in quarantine in the medical institutions, thanks to the timely measures taken by the authorities, 88 people recovered and were discharged from the medical institutions.

The wards of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center (RMMC) in Tskhinval, districts hospitals in the settlements of Dzau, Znaur and Leningor, the former maternity hospital and the hotel Alan have been assigned for quarantine zones in the Republic.

Until July 31, restrictions on crossing the border with Russia are in effect, on Wednesday the Cabinet of Ministers will adopt a new resolution, according to which the closure of the border with the Russian Federation is extended until August 31, while some easing of restrictions is introduced when crossing the Ruck checkpoint.
