Specialists from the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute have been working in South Ossetia for several days, said Marina Kochieva, head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee.

According to her, Russian colleagues are providing assistance to local specialists within the framework of cooperation between the South-Ossetian and Russian Consumer Supervision Committees

“We have established close friendly relations with Russian Consumer Supervision Committees, and once again, after our appeal to the leadership of the Russian specialized department, we are provided with organizational and methodological assistance. Since March, a large number of employees of the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute have been sent here,” said Kochieva.

According to her, Russian colleagues, an epidemiologist and two bacteriologists, are providing practical and advisory help to the laboratory assistants, and monitoring the epidemiological situation.

With the arrival of employees of the Stavropol Institute, the volume of PCR studies for COVID-19 increased.
