Nine people with coronavirus were admitted to hospitals in South Ossetia in a day

In the "red zones" of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center (RMMC) of South Ossetia, as of the morning of December 22, 76 patients with a diagnosis of COVID-19 are being treated. This was reported to IA "Res" on Tuesday by the chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic, Eleonora Dzhioeva.

“Currently, there are 39 patients in the infectious diseases building, 37 in the building of the children's hospital. Three of them are in the intensive care unit,” the doctor said.

Over the past day, nine people have been admitted to the "red zone" of the hospital, but they have not been discharged.

The chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic appealed to the population to observe all preventive measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

The number of cases of coronavirus in the Republic since mid-September has reached 2,151, 1,252 citizens have been discharged from medical institutions.

During the pandemic, 12,542 studies were conducted in the PCR laboratory of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee. Until January 15, the functioning of secondary, secondary vocational and higher educational institutions has been suspended, a mask regime is in effect, it is necessary to maintain social distance in public places.
