Volunteers from South Ossetia, sent for rehabilitation in Crimea, hoisted the national flag of Alania on one of the highest mountains of the Crimean Peninsula, Ai-Petri, which is considered the hallmark of the southern part of the Crimean Peninsula and the most visited attraction in Yalta.

One of the volunteers, Marat Bagaev, told IA "Res "that the idea to hoist a flag on the top of the mountain had appeared in South Ossetia.

“When we arrived here, we turned to the representative of North Ossetia in the Republic of Crimea, Valery Savlaev, who helped us to realize the idea. And on Sunday, our group of nine people, together with Valery Savlaev, climbed Mount Ai-Petri,” the volunteer said.

He has noted that the traditional three pies, which they took up the mountain, were baked for them on the spot by natives of Ossetia. They said prayers to God for the well-being of Ossetia and its inhabitants with Ossetian beer.

"It took more than 3 hours to get to the destination by bus to Yalta, and from there we climbed the mountain on the lift," Marat Bagaev shared.

Nine residents of South Ossetia, who were working as volunteers in the "red zones" of medical institutions of the Republic during the coronavirus pandemic, were sent to rest in the sanatoriums of the Crimea with the assistance of the President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov.

"The first group of volunteers will stay in Crimea until February 20, after which the second group will arrive. All conditions have been created for rest and health restoration. We would like to express our deep gratitude to the head of state, who assisted in the trip to the sanatorium. The sanatorium itself is located in a resort area of Saki ", - Alan Gabaraev said earlier to IA "Res ".

It should be noted that during the peak of the spread of the new coronavirus infection in South Ossetia, volunteer associations were created that provided the necessary assistance to doctors and residents of the Republic.

South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov also instructed to work out the issues of rehabilitation of people who have had coronavirus, especially in severe form. The head of state gave the corresponding instruction to the acting head of the Ministry of Health and Social Development Georgy Totchiev at a meeting of the Operational Headquarters to combat the spread of new coronavirus and infection.
