A citizen of Georgia, violated the state border of South Ossetia last week, was expelled to the neighboring republic on Tuesday, the press service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.
“On May 8, for violating the regime of the state border of South Ossetia in the vicinity of the settlement of Adzysar, Tskhinval district, officers of the South Ossetian border authorities detained the Georgian citizen Gerkeuli Ivane Giorgievich, born in 1958, resident of the settlement Ahalubani, Gori municipality,” the statement of the press service reads.
The Committee has noted that on Tuesday - May 14, in accordance with Part 2 of Art. 4 of the law of the Republic “On administrative liability for violations in the field of protection of the State Border of the Republic of South Ossetia,” Gerkeuli was fined and expelled from the Republic.
