The head of the official representation of South Ossetia in Transnistria, Vitaly Yankovsky, visited a photo exhibition at the representative office of Abkhazia in Tiraspol, dedicated to the first President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Vladislav Ardzinba. This was reported by the press service of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry.
According to the department, the South Ossetian diplomat got acquainted with photographs. That had depicted important moments from the life of Vladislav Ardzinba - student times, archaeological excavations, meetings with political figures, the period of the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia, the family.
Vitaly Yankovsky shared his memories of his trips to Abkhazia, the interaction between South Ossetia and Abkhazia, as well as the meetings of Vladislav Ardzinba with the volunteers from the Republic of South Ossetia at the beginning of the 1992-1993 Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia.
