The head of the official representative office of South Ossetia in Transnistria, Vitaly Yankovsky, took part in the international scientific and practical conference "Transnistrian statehood: History and Modernity".

The event was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the formation of the PMR, the press service of the representative office reports.

The event was organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR and the T. G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University.

Representatives of the Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia, headed by Znaur Gassiev, took part in the mourning events dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Beslan tragedy.

At the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kulish (Alanskoye Podvorye), in front of the monument to the victims of the terrorist attack in Beslan, those present honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence, after which wreaths were laid at the monument.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev sent a message with sincere words of gratitude to Ambassador of Nicaragua Alba Torres in connection with the 17th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Republic of Nicaragua.

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev took part in the events dedicated to the 21st anniversary of the Beslan tragedy in North Ossetia. This was reported by the press service of the head of the Republic.

The memory of the victims of the tragedy was also honored by head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Sergei Menyailo, Chairman of the LDPR Leonid Slutsky, the heads of the parliaments of North and South Ossetia, deputies and members of the governments of the two republics, and other officials.

The annual memorial service in memory of the Beslan terrorist attack victims was held in the Moscow Patriarchate parish church in the city of Rovereto, Italy, the Beslan Administration press service reports.

The ceremony was organized by the Italian charitable public association "Help us save the children", headed by Honorary Citizen of Beslan Ennio Bordato.

He also honored the memory of the victims in the city park "Children of Beslan", laying flowers at the sign at the entrance to the park.

The event was organized by the Ossetian Diaspora in Turkey.

The participants honored the memory of the victims, lit candles and observed a minute of silence as a sign of grief for the 334 victims, including 186 children.

In the atmosphere of silence and grief, were heard the words of solidarity, sympathy and reminders of how important it is to maintain peace and do everything possible to ensure that such tragedies never happen again.

The operational situation on the state border of South Ossetia is characterized as stably tense. This was reported to President Alan Gagloev by First Deputy Chairman - Head of the KGB Border Service Romeo Khugaev.

According to him, during the reporting period, two violators of the state border regime and two violators of the border regime were detained.

“A criminal case under Article 332 was initiated against one violator of the state border,” Khugaev has specified. “By court decision, a preventive measure was chosen for him - two months of imprisonment.”
