A meeting between the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev and State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Sergey Glazyev took place in Moscow. This was reported by the press service of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the parties held a detailed exchange of views on the prospects for deepening South Ossetia's interaction with the Union State structures.

Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of intensifying cooperation in the humanitarian and cultural spheres.

At the 65th round of the International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, South Ossetia urged Georgia to intensify efforts to clarify the fate of the missing persons and recommended that the Georgian party cease sabotaging the work on this issue and take practical steps to resolve it. The head of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev congratulated the co-President of the Republic of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega on his birthday.
