It is expected that a hand over of citizens either serving their sentence or under investigation in South Ossetia and Georgia will take place in the village of Ergneti at the boundary line between South Ossetia and Georgia, reported the Special Representative for Post-Conflict Settlement Boris Chochiev.

"The exchange is to take place in the near hours. The South Ossetian side is going to hand over 7 persons to Georgia. The Georgian side is also expected to hand over 7 persons, including Yuriy Khachirov, the father of Alan Khachirov, who went missing after the August 2008 events", he reported.
According to Chochiev, an agreement was reached at the trilateral meeting within the Geneva discussions-established Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) held on 17 February at the borderline.
"The efforts aimed at exchange of detainees within the IPRM will continue", emphasized the Plenipotentiary.
Representatives of South Ossetia, the Russian Federation and Georgia will be present during the hand-over.
