October 6-7, in Moscow took place a working meeting between South Ossetian and Russian delegations to prepare for the signing of the State Border Treaty between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation.
As the Chairman of the Commission of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia on delimitation and demarcation of the state border between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation Murat Dzhioev has told the correspondent of the news agency "Res", during the meeting the parties verified both the Ossetian and Russian texts of the Treaty, heads of the delegations signed the maps of the state border between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, appended to the Treaty.
According to Мurat Dzhioev, the joint work of the delegations of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation on the delimitation of the South-Ossetian-Russian state border started in 2010, resulted in the Treaty to be signed.
The Treaty will take an important place among the 70 signed interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental treaties and agreements of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, as well as the bilateral documents ready to be signed. The Border treaty is another evidence of the progressive development of friendly and good-neighborly relations between the two sovereign states - the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation. This document emphasizes the complete absurdity of the claims of Georgian politicians and their Western patrons of the so-called «occupation» of South Ossetia.
"South Ossetia is also ready for similar work with the other neighboring country - Georgia and repeatedly, including through international organizations - the EU, UN, OSCE, offered the Georgian side to start joint work on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border," - said Murat Dzhioev .
