This was stated by the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov, commenting on the speech of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in St. George's Hall in the Kremlin, where the Russian President addressed to the legislative branch of the country to support the bill on the accession of the Crimea and Sevastopol to the Russian Federation.
"I very carefully, in a burst of inspiration, listened to my Russian counterpart. I must say that the feeling of humanity, the highest patriotism and responsibility for the fate and aspirations of the peoples of Russia and Ukraine run through every thought, every word of the speech. The profound and at the same time a well-reasoned speech of Vladimir Putin left no doubt in the correctness of the choice of Russia, the only true decision of the Russian leadership. I estimate it as a wise and under these circumstances the only possible step to establish the lasting peace in the Crimea, as the main prerequisite for its future prosperity,"- said Leonid Tibilov.
The head of state has stressed that people of South Ossetia know the value of peace, established on the long-suffering land of the Republic thanks to the decisive actions of the Russian Federation.
"We fully support the decisions taken by Russia and personally by President Vladimir Putin. Taking this opportunity, I address my sincere congratulations to freedom-loving people of the Crimea on the restoration of historical justice and wish them every success under the new historical conditions," - said the president.
