For the assistance to South Ossetia: Anatoly Bibilov awarded orders to diplomats from Russia and Abkhazia

President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, awarded the Order of Friendship to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Australia, Alexey Pavlovsky, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Abkhazia in Russia, Igor Akhba.

According to the press service of the South Ossetian Embassy in Moscow, the award ceremony took place at the Republic Embassy on Monday.

During the Georgian aggression in 2008, Pavlovsky was in the position of Deputy Director of the Fourth Department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, and in 2011 he became its director.

Anatoly Bibilov thanked Alexei Pavlovsky for the work and assistance to South Ossetia and congratulated him on his appointment as Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Australia.

The President also noted the important role of the Ambassador of Abkhazia in Russia in the development of relations between the two countries.

“Our ties with Abkhazia are actually at the genetic level. We went the same way and always helped each other, did everything to promote common interests. The Ambassador of Abkhazia to Russia, a worthy representative of his people, played a huge role in this interaction,” he stressed.

The Ambassadors, in turn, expressed gratitude to the President for the high award and attention.
