In the near future, the politician intends to visit South Ossetia.

Gunnar Lindemann, a German deputy to the Berlin regional parliament, who represents the party "Alternative for Germany", believes that if Kosovo has the right to separate from Serbia - South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Donetsk, and others should have the same right.

South Ossetia is not very well known in the German media. But I see that it is an independent country. And if Kosovo got the right to separate from Serbia and become an independent state, South Ossetia, Donetsk, Abkhazia and others, should have the same right," said Gunnar Lindemann in a commentary to the agency Res.

German politician Gunnar Lindemann intends to visit South Ossetia in the near future.

According to him, at the moment Europe is following the US transatlantic policy and the interests of the USA.

“You have seen this policy in Georgia and in Ukraine in recent years,” he has noted. “It works along with the policy of sanctions against Russia. But people in Europe and Germany understand that this anti-Russian policy of the German and the EU governments is not suitable for Germany and for Europe. In Germany, my party clearly says: we must end all sanctions against Russia, and people themselves must decide how they want to live. "
