The fourth technical meeting in the format of Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRMs) will be held on the border of South Ossetia with Georgia on Friday morning, Yegor Kochiev, head of the South Ossetian delegation at the IPRM meetings, told "Interfax «.

"The only question on the agenda is the situation on the border in the area of the village of Uista (Tsnelis), where the Georgian police roadblock is put up. There are no other issues on the agenda. Our position remains unchanged - the post must be removed to eliminate the threat. All other questions for now are not being discussed, "Kochiev said on Thursday.

He has noted that all issues that need to be resolved are also discussed by the parties on the "hot line".

In late August, South Ossetian authorities announced a provocation of the Georgian side - the illegal construction of a checkpoint in South Ossetian territory near the border village of Uista and demanded its removal.

At three technical meetings in the IPRM format, no compromise was reached.

To ensure the safety of the local population, South Ossetia put up its post at one of the heights near the village and strengthened its presence in the border region.
