President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov examined the border post on the section of the South Ossetian-Georgian border in the area of ​​the settlement of Uista, the press service of the head of state reports. The President talked with the border guards serving at an altitude of 944.8. They reported that no incidents at the border were recorded during their duty hours.

Anatoly Bibilov was interested in the conditions in which border guards serve, how they are provided with food and space heating.

The President drank tea with the border guards and outlined the priorities.

“Everyone who enters the border post perfectly understands all the responsibility that is assigned to them. Everyone understands that this is precisely the fulfillment of the combat mission of protecting the state border. And accordingly, each outfit receives a combat order,” the president said.

He also highlighted the importance of close collaboration with Russian border guards.

Valery Alikhanty reported that the nearest unit of the Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia is in the village of Balta.

“We have a direct relationship with them and in case of any changes in the situation, we inform them, and they inform us,” said the acting head of the Border Service of South Ossetia.

Anatoly Bibilov separately emphasized that in no case should one give in to the provocations of the Georgian side.

“It is necessary to analyze what is happening, and most importantly, not to succumb to provocations that are quite possible on the part of Georgia despite the fact that the EU representatives of the OSCE are in the region. But then we know the whole story, starting from the 90s - how they provoked, fired on themselves and then tried to shift the blame to our side. We know their methods,” the President said.

Anatoly Bibilov congratulated all border guards serving at the height on the day of the Chekist, which is celebrated on December 20 and expressed gratitude for the successful completion of the tasks assigned to them.
