On the morning of July 28, one patient is undergoing treatment at the isolation ward of the Republican Multidisciplinary Center in Tskhinval, a nurse from the "red zone" with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy Head of the South Ossetian Supervision Committee Anna Gagloeva told IA “Res ".

"The day before, 88 people were tested, all the tests were negative. As of today, 192 people are under observation in South Ossetia, 130 of them are in the Republic's medical institutions (33 in the isolation ward)," she said.

There are 89 cases in total for the entire period, of which 88 people were discharged from the medical institution.

The first three cases of the infection in the Republic were recorded on May 5.

Over the entire period, 3475 people were tested in the laboratory of South Ossetian Supervision Committee.

Until July 31, restrictions were imposed on the border of South Ossetia with Russia due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus. On Tuesday, at the meeting of the operational headquarters, it is planned to consider some easing of restrictions when crossing the state border.
