As of the morning of January 10, 60 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in the "red zones" of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center of South Ossetia, Eleonora Dzhioeva, the chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic, told IA "RES”.

“Currently, 25 patients are being treated in the infectious diseases building of the hospital, 35 in the building of the children's hospital. Three of them are in the intensive care unit,” the doctor said.

According to Dzhioeva, over the past day, three people were admitted to the Republic's medical center, nine were discharged.

The admission and triage ward of the Republican Medical Center of the Republic received ten patients the day before.

"18 patients were tested in the admission and triage ward," said the chief infectious disease specialist.

The chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic appealed to the population to observe all preventive measures to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus infection.

Until January 15, there is a ban on the work of secondary, secondary vocational and higher educational institutions, except for primary schools and rural small-scale institutions, a mask regime is in effect, it is necessary to observe social distance in public places.
