President of South Ossetia has appointed Konstantin Dzhussoev as Prime Minister – the decree

Earlier, the Parliament of the Republic gave its consent to the President to appoint Dzhussoev to this position.

On Monday, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev signed a decree appointing Konstantin Dzhussoev as Chairman of the Government of the Republic, the press service of the head of state reported.

"In accordance with paragraph 5 of Article 50 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Ossetia, appoint Dzhussoev Konstantin Khasanovich as Chairman of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia," the presidential decree says, which comes into force from the date of its signing.

On Monday, the head of state presented the new Prime Minister to the government.

“As we know, the deputies of the Parliament unanimously approved the candidacy of Konstantin Khasanovich. I ask everyone to accept the new head of government. He is focused on results and fruitful work,” the President said, addressing the members of the government.

In turn, the new Prime Minister thanked the head of state for his confidence and expressed hope for mutual understanding in future work.

It should be reminded that on June 17 the Parliament of South Ossetia unanimously agreed to the President's appointment of Konstantin Dzhussoev as Prime Minister.

The Cabinet of Ministers of South Ossetia resigned on May 24, in connection with the entry into office of the new head of state, Alan Gagloev, who won the elections on May 8. The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to fulfill its duties until the completion of the formation of the new government of South Ossetia.
