Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia, Znaur Gassiev, at the invitation of rector of the Diplomatic Academy under the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Yakovenko, took part in the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the educational institution, the press service of the diplomatic department reports.
Znaur Gassiev, on behalf of President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, congratulated the rector, the faculty and students on the anniversary and wished them success in achieving professional heights.
“I sincerely wish that the Diplomatic Academy of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, maintaining its leadership position, continues to confidently conquer more and more professional heights, so that the younger generations of talented listeners and students cherish and enhance the wonderful traditions of their alma mater with professional competence and achievements, its high authority,” the President’s congratulatory address says.
As part of the solemn event, the Ambassador presented the Order of Honor to Rector Alexander Yakovenko - for his services in the development of cooperation between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel for the Republic and in connection with the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Diplomatic Academy.
Also, for the services in training highly qualified personnel for the Republic of South Ossetia and in connection with the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Diplomatic Academy, the Order of Friendship was awarded to: Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Youth Policy of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Professor Andrey Danelyan, Dean of the Faculty of Advanced Training of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Professor Mikhail Troyansky, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations relations of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Associate Professor Valery Volokhov.
The Ambassador has expressed gratitude to the rector and all the staff of the academy for their close attention to the Republic and wished everyone good health, prosperity, great success in educating worthy personnel, who in the near future will become the basis of cultural, political, economic, scientific and educational progress.
Alexander Yakovenko, in turn, thanked Znaur Gassiev for his high assessment of the Academy’s activities, and also conveyed wishes of well-being and prosperity to President Alan Gagloev and the entire people of the Republic.
