Eduard Kokoity and Roman Panov visited Kvaisa

On 1 October, the President of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity and Deputy Minister for Economic Development of the RF, the Chair of the Inter-Agency Commission for Rehabilitation Projects in South Ossetia Roman Panov visited Kvaisa badly affected by an earthquake on 7-8 September. During their visit, Eduard Kokoity and Roman PAnov were accompanies by the first Deputy Prime-minister Alexander Zelig, Interior Minister Valery Valiev, Emercom Minister Anatoly Bibilov, acting Minister of Health and Social Welfare Nugzar Gabaraev, Chair of the State Committee for Implementation of Rehabilitation Projects Zurab Kabisov and Chair of the Committee for State Control and economic security Batradz Takazov.

OSCE Special Representative will participate in the working groups’ meetings  

The OSCE Chairman-in-Office Special Representative, Co-Chair to the Geneva discussions Ambassador Christopoulos Charalampos visited South Ossetia. During this visit, Ambassador Christopoulos was received by the President’s Special Representative for Post-Conflict Settlement Boris Chochiev and RSO Foreign Minister Murat Djioev. During their meeting, the participants discussed the participation of the OSCE Special Representative Ambassdor Christopoulos in the meetings of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism Working Groups held along the area adjacent to the border with South Ossetia.

Georgian Armed Forces Continue Organizing Provocations in the Borderline Area

The Georgian side opened fire at the village of Disev of Tskhinval district, reported the press-service of the RSO Defense Ministry. “Georgian armed forces continue organizing provocations in the borderline area. At approximately 21:45, small arms fire was opened from the Georgian village of Mereti towards the village of Disev on the territory of South Ossetia”, says the press-service report.
