Russian delegation headed by Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Rashid Nurgaliyev has arrived in South Ossetiaon an official visit. In Tskhinval the guests met with President Leonid Tibilovand members of the government headed by Prime Minister Rostik Khugaev. They visited a number of new facilities for household purposes, including a new plant of building materials which is under construction to the south of Tskhinval.
The prime minister and director of the plant told the head of the state and members of the Russian delegation about the timing of completion of the plant construction and the planned production. .
"Within a week the plant will output production. All the necessary building materials for the construction and reconstruction needs in the Republic will be produced here,"- said the director of the enterprise Vladimir Tibilov. Then the leadership of the Republic and the guests visited the memorial cemetery in the yard of the school № 5 in Tskhinval and put mourning wreaths and flowers at the memorial to the fallen defenders of the motherland. Inspection of the school building, which was damaged significantly during the Georgian aggression in August 2008, has also taken place. Leonid Tibilov and Rashid Nurgaliyev talked with teachers and pupils of the school who were passing one of the final examinations at the time of the visit. The president and members of the delegation have also visited the barracks of the Russian peacekeepers (known as the "Upper Town") destroyed in August 2008; theyput mourning wreaths on the death spot of servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent. After that the delegation was officially received by President Leonid Tibilov. At the meeting were discussed the socio-economic situation in South Ossetia, the issues of further cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation is intending to visit the location of Russia's fourth military base.
