A meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev will take place on October 1, Marat Kulakhmetov, Russia's Ambassador to the Republic, told RIA Novosti.

"A meeting between the foreign ministers of the Russian Federation and South Ossetia will take place soon, on October 1," Kulakhmetov said.

According to him, constant interaction continues between Russia and South Ossetia. The parties coordinate their actions in international forums, and the Russian side also assists in promoting South Ossetia's interests.

South Ossetia’s Ambassador to Abkhazia, Astamur Katsiya, took part in a solemn flower-laying ceremony at the Memorial to the Defenders of the Fatherland in Sukhum’s Glory Park.

The event marked the 33rd anniversary of the liberation of the Abkhazian capital, the Foreign Ministry press service reported.

Russia’s Ministry of Energy is a key partner regarding gas and electricity supply, Marat Kambolov, the President-elect of South Ossetia, noted on his Telegram channel following a meeting with the head of the Russian ministry, Sergey Tsivilev.

"For many villages in the Republic, gasification remains one of the most pressing issues.

People have waited years for the opportunity to heat their homes and live in decent domestic conditions.

We have made significant progress in addressing this challenge," Kambolov said.

The South Ossetian Foreign Ministry has commented on the statements made by the foreign policy agencies of Georgia and the European Union, as well as a number of other countries, regarding the presidential election held in the Republic.

The Foreign Ministry has noted that such reactions from Tbilisi and Western partners have long since become routine.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia has issued an official statement regarding the speech delivered by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at the UN General Assembly session.

Tskhinval has stated that Tbilisi continues to ignore the established geopolitical realities and persists in a destructive course of action.

The Ministry emphasized the clear contradiction between the Georgian authorities' declarations and their practical actions. This is particularly evident within the framework of the Geneva International Discussions on security in Transcaucasia.

The latest talking points regarding the "occupation," voiced by the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at the summit during the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, demonstrate that Tbilisi's rhetoric remains unchanged. This was stated in a commentary by the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry representative regarding the Georgian Prime Minister's speech.

A meeting took place in Moscow between Konstantin Kochiev—State Advisor to President of South Ossetia and the head of the South Ossetian delegation to the International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia—and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, as well as the Abkhazian Foreign Minister Oleg Bartsits.

The inauguration of South Ossetia’s President-elect, Marat Kambolov—who won the election on September 18—will take place on September 30.

The Republic’s Central Election Commission (CEC) reported this to the "Res" news agency.

"A president elected in accordance with the Republic's constitution and constitutional laws assumes office on the tenth day following the CEC's official publication of the election results," the CEC has clarified.

The "Vasso Abaev" commemorative banknote issued by the National Bank of South Ossetia—part of a series honoring prominent Ossetian figures—has been sent to dealers in Spain, the Netherlands, Belarus, Iran, Thailand, India, China, Brazil, the USA, and Canada. This was announced by press service of the Bank of Alania.

The banknote will soon be displayed at the international exhibition in Europe.

On September 20, the Bank of Alania put into circulation a new commemorative banknote with a face value of 200 zarins, dedicated to the prominent Ossetian scholar Vasso Abaev.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Marat Kambolov on his election as President of South Ossetia, the Kremlin website reports.

"Such a convincing election victory has confirmed the high level of trust the citizens of South Ossetia place in you.

Relations between Moscow and Tskhinval are friendly and allied in nature.

I am confident that your work as head of state will foster their continued steady development for the benefit of our peoples and in the interest of strengthening regional security and stability," the congratulatory message reads.
