On 29 May- a Day of adopting the Act of Independence of the RSO- the opening of the Republican stadium will take place in Tskhinval. As reported IA "Res" by the State Counsellor of the President of the RSO Zhanna Zasseeva, the inauguration of the stadium will be held in the evening; the main festive actions, dedicated to the 19-th anniversary of adopting the Act of Independence of the RSO will pass there. "It’s some kind of a gift for all the inhabitants of our Republic. We celebrate this day with specific feelings.
It`s no coincidence that the opening of such a large object as the Republican stadium, will take place this day exactly, - has emphasized Zasseeva. - In this great for people of South Ossetia day .the Russian artists will arrive in the Republic-among them Oleg Gazmanov and Alexander Panayotov". We should note that the Act of proclaiming the independence of South Ossetia was adopted on 29 May 1992 by the Supreme Soviet of the RSO. In the document, in particular, is written: "Proceeding from the mortal danger, which hung over the Republic of South Ossetia along of the crimes, which put its people and culture close to extinction, the genocide of the ossetians, being carried out by the Republic of Georgia with cruelty and perfidy in the process of collapsing the USSR since 1989-1992 y.y., relying on the right of self-determination, provided by the Status of UN and other internationally-legal documents, considering the results of the elections in the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of South Ossetia from December 9 1990, and by the will of people, expressed in the Referendum on 19 January 1992, implementing the Declaration about the state sovereignty of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Supreme Soviet proclaimed the independence of South Ossetia and formation of the independent state South Ossetia. The territory of the Republic of South Ossetia is indivisible and hereafter only the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of South Ossetia are valid on the territory of South Ossetia.
